Product Description
Coo-Var Dampshield creates a damp-proof membrane and can be used on new concrete before it has fully cured. Adheres to damp and/or floors with residual oil contamination. Ideal for cellars, basements, garages, factories and warehouses.
Works particularly well as a system underneath Coo-Var Profloor Plus.

Dampshield FAQ's
Can Dampshield be applied to any surface?
Dampshield can be applied to concrete and screeds. However, the surface must be properly prepared, clean, and free of contaminants like oil, grease, and dust for the best adhesion and finish.
Can I apply Dampshield over a previous floor paint?
We do not recommend applying this floor paint over any previous floor paints as it is designed to be applies to bare substate that still contains a lot of moisture.
How should I prepare the surface before applying the paint?
For concrete and screeded floors, acid etching is necessary to remove dust and laitance.
Ensure the surface is completely clean and dry before application, coo-var degreaser or oil remover can be used to clean the floor.
How long does Dampshield take to dry?
Minimum ovecoat time is 12 hours and maximum overcoat time is 48 hours. This must be over coated with Profloor Plus
How many coats of Dampshield should I apply?
1 coat.
