Product Description
Coo-Var Brilliant Aluminium Paint is an alkyd based coating which contains a metallic aluminium giving a brilliant silver finish. Can be used as a heat and light reflective protective finish. For use on car wheels, hot water pipes, radiators and metal car components.

What is Coo-Var Brilliant Aluminum paint?
A heat-resistant aluminum paint that can withstand high temperatures without degrading. It contains aluminum flakes that help reflect heat and provide a metallic finish.
What temperatures can Brilliant Aluminium paint withstand?
Coo-Var Brilliant Aluminum paints can withstand temperatures up to 150°C.
What surfaces can I apply Brilliant Aluminium paint to?
This paint can be applied to car wheels, hot water pipes and radiorts etc, or anywhere on wood or metal that requires a high metallic sheen.
Do I need to prepare the surface before applying Brilliant Aluminium paint?
lean the surface to remove dirt, grease, and oil. This should be done using Coo-Var Universal Degreaser.
Remove any existing rust using a mechanical sander or a wire brush.
How should I apply Brilliant Aluminium paint?
This paint should be applied by brush or airless spray
Do I need a primer before applying Brilliant Aluminium paint?
Applying a primer is not nessacary with Coo-Var Brillaint Aluminium as it acts as a primer and a topcoat together.
How long does Brilliant Aluminium paint take to dry?
Touch dry 3 hours, hard dry 12 hours and full hardness 5-7 days.
Can Brilliant Aluminium paint be used outdoors?
Yes, it is formulated for outdoor use. They are designed to withstand weathering as well as high temperatures.
How durable is Brilliant Aluminium paint?
This paint is designed to be highly durable and resistant to chipping, cracking, and peeling even under high temperatures. However, its longevity also depends on proper surface preparation and application.
Is Brilliant Aluminium paint safe to use?
Yes, but take safety precautions. Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes. Wear protective gear such as gloves, masks, and eye protection.
Can I use Brilliant Aluminium paint on surfaces other than metal?
Yes it can be applied to wood and metal.
Can Brilliant Aluminium paint be used on previously painted surfaces?
Yes, but the existing paint must be in good stable and well stuck condition and properly prepared. Clean the surface thoroughly, remove any loose or flaking paint, and sand to create a 'Key' for the new paint to adhere to.
