1. What is it used for?
It’s a clear protective glaze applied over Coo-Var Luminous (glow) paint to protect the luminous layer, seal it against wear and weather, and prolong the glow effect.
2. How should it be applied, and what are the drying times?
- Stir well before use.
- It can be applied by brush (and typically roller) over a clean, fully cured luminous paint layer.
- Touch dry in about 45 minutes (at ~20 °C)
- Hard dry in ~4 hours.
- You may recoat after 6 hours.
- Full cure (full hardness) may take 5–7 days
Note: Avoid applying when temperature is ≤ 7 °C, as lower temperatures slow curing and may affect performance.
3. What surfaces is it suitable for?
It is intended for use over surfaces already coated with Coo-Var Luminous Paint, including wood, metal, masonry, etc.
It is not a standalone paint — it must be used in a system: base, luminous paint, then this clear protective topcoat.
4. Will it reduce or dull the glow effect?
No — the formulation is transparent and designed to protect without significantly diminishing the luminosity of the underlying glowing layer.
However, improper application (too thick, clouding, or substrate contamination) may impair performance, so uniform, thin coats are recommended.
