Sustainability

Here at Coo-Var, our priority is sustainability. Our focus is on innovative solutions that make a positive environmental impact. Since 2022 we have only developed water-based paints. By reducing the solvents used
in our manufacturing process we contribute to a greener planet.

Recycling

We now have processes in place that allow us to recover products that would previously have been discarded as waste. Thanks to these operations, none of our waste is sent to landfill.

In addition, all our packaging is made from tin, a fully recyclable material, which further reduces our environmental impact.

Awards

Coo-Var has been nominated for the BCF Coatings Care Award five years in a row and proudly won the Overall Best Performer Award in 2021.

This award recognises our excellence in safety, environmental performance, and responsible manufacturing.

Pan Cleaner / Ambimization

At Coo-Var, we replaced traditional pan cleaning with a high-pressure, water-based system that cuts VOC emissions. The liquid can be reused many times, creating less waste than solvent methods.

We also use Ambimization, which removes the need for solvents, caustics, and heated chemicals, further reducing waste and improving safety.

ISO 14001

We are proud to be certified to the internationally recognised ISO 14001
Environmental Standard. This means we carefully manage our environmental impact by reducing waste, lowering emissions, and using resources more efficiently year after year.
