This is a white oil-based paint which gives an antique-style, low-sheen finish suitable for interior and exterior application.

Do I need to prime the surface before applying Coo-Var Eggshell Finish?

Wood – Prime with Coo-Var Aluminium Wood Primer

Metal – Prime with Coo-Var Zinc Phosphate Primer

Masonry / Concrete – Prime with Coo-Var Prime-All

Can I use Coo-Var Eggshell Finish on any surface?

We recommend using this on what we have tested & recommend. For any other surfaces, we would strongly advise on a small test area to check for compatibility before mass-applying to ensure you are coating a suitable surface

Is Coo-Var Eggshell Finish safe to use?

Although it is a solvent-based paint, as it is a single-pack paint it is safe to use without any professional application

Can Coo-Var Eggshell Finish go over previously painted surfaces?

Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly (spot-prime where suitable/necessary)

Can I repaint over Coo-Var Eggshell Finish?

Yes, however the initial coating must comply with the following:

- Previous coating must be sound/stable

- Any loose/flaking material must be removed

- Lightly abrade the sound/stable previous coating
to provide a suitable key

- Surface must be cleaned to remove residual dust
and debris

Does Coo-Var Eggshell Finish come in different colours?

This is only available in Antique White

What maintenance is required?

We would advise on carrying out maintenance over time to keep its appearance in good condition:

- General cleaning of the surface with mild detergents and ensuring any liquids spilt are cleaning immediately

- Be mindful of hard/heavy impactful objects landing on the coating as this can damage its film

- Recoat over time / spot-coat in areas when & where necessary
